About
We are the Weybridge Congregational Church, an Open & Affirming, Creation Justice congregation of the United Church of Christ (UCC) located in the heart of Addison County in Vermont's beautiful Champlain Valley. We welcome you to come worship with us.
The Weybridge Congregational Church, located on Weybridge Hill, was formed in 1794 by a group of eight women and seven men, representing a mix of people that included a doctor, miller, lawyer, tax collector, politician, Revolutionary War veteran, young explorer and linguist, and farmers. Today we continue to carry on this tradition of a diverse and colorful gathering, as symbolized by the colorful stained glass windows that adorn our sanctuary.
The town of Weybridge is situated between the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain and is a short drive (3.5 miles) from downtown Middlebury. Weybridge Congregational Church shares the town with the Morgan Horse Farm, Monument Farms Dairy, a fourth-generation, fully integrated (cow to carton), regionally acclaimed dairy, Weybridge Fire Department, Weybridge Elementary School, and a large population of Dutch Belted cows.
While our history roots us in Weybridge, our membership and outreach extend well beyond the town's borders. We are an active community of members and friends, united in Christ's love, striving to make a positive difference as we seek a just world for all. We hope you will consider stopping in sometime to join with us in friendship and worship. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here.
